Liza Johnson

Liza is a food and beverage publicist at Postcard Communications in San Francisco. Over the past few years, she has represented an array of independent restaurants, many of which have noteworthy wine programs. Dedicated to building community around a sustainable, equitable, and resilient local food system, she is also part of the Communications Committee at Foodwise, formerly CUESA. In addition to its robust education and food access programs, the 501(c)(3) operates the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and the Mission Community Market.
Before her pivot into food and beverage communications, Liza studied Russian and Ukrainian history, culture, and politics at Stanford University and then received a master’s degree in Eastern European Studies from the University of Oxford. Outside of work, she is an enthusiastic host of very small dinner gatherings, and can often be spotted with a camera in hand, photographing restaurants, bars, farms, and markets.
